Dear Great Dane owner,
If you want to have a happy, healthy and obedient Great Dane, then
this might be the most important message you read today...
Let me tell you why:
There is more to having a pet Great Dane than you might have first
thought. To be more precise, there's more to understanding and
loving it than you would have ever even considered. You want to make
sure you and your dog are both having a happy and an enjoyable time
together - always.
I think I should introduce myself, my name is Martin Webster. I'm a professional dog trainer specializing in
large breeds and Great Danes in particular.
Let me ask you something, are these 3 of the most important secrets
you want to know about your Great Dane?
1. How to understand what your Great Dane wants or likes so
that you can take care of it to make sure it's always healthy?
2. What are the secrets to train your Great Dane to follow your
instructions and listen to you obediently every time?
3. How to make your Great Dane happy and loving?
These are the 3 main burning questions my clients
ask me but are frustrated because they are not able find this information anywhere!
Especially on getting Great Dane attention and obedience training
Many of my clients searched their local bookstores
and purchased dog books authored by
the so-called 'dog experts'. They bought them happily and started
reading but when they applied the advice given, to their Great Dane
it just didn't work!
Most of the books you will read don't work
They are dog books, NOT Great Dane books!
You see, Great Danes are a wonderful breed that seems
to have their own ways and mind.
The so-called 'dog expert' writers have probably never owned a
Great Dane before. They might
have owned dogs, but not Great Danes.
Lastly, the writing is based on THEIR opinions of
what's right and wrong. Heck, how sure are they that what they teach
After a lot of persuasion and hard consideration, I
decided out to disclose these Great Dane secrets to people like you. All
though I have been training Great Danes for 21 years I recognise that
one person cannot know everything so here is what I did...
I began by writing down everything I have learned and know
from my 21 years of training Great Danes and their owners.
Then, I wanted him to make sure I had covered all the
problems Great Dane owners have. I spent over 3 months just communicating with
314 Great Dane lovers
around the world to get their input and learn more from
their problems and experiences. I surfed the
internet, burning the midnight
oil to read articles and forum posts to find out more about Great
Dane owners and their dogs. And of course I referred to my extensive
library of Great Dane and other dog books.
Next I spent time with
4 more professional dog trainers who also specialise in
large dogs like Great Danes. We debated the best way to cure
Great Dane behaviour
problems like house training, barking, chewing or begging. Simple, but effective
methods to specifically train Great Danes to Sit, Stay, Lay
Down, Come, Retrieve and more. Then we double checked the feedback
from owners to make sure we had tried and tested answers to all
their questions and problems.
Finally I spoke to my vet (who also has a Great Dane) and
the local veterinarian training hospital who gave me great advice on
choosing a vet, keeping a Great Dane healthy and how to prevent and cure common
(and less common) Great Dane illnesses and diseases.
Phew! It was a lot of work. But if you were to ask
me whether it was worth the effort, I'll say YES because I am
now able to offer you all the secrets of how to make a Great
Dane happy, healthy and obedient the way you want it.
Back to the purpose of this letter

|We Can All Learn Something
My son sent me Great Dane Secrets as a Birthday present as he is
currently in Australia. We have a 3 year old Great Dane who is beautiful, charming, funny, loyal and loving but only
does as she's told when she feels like it.
Having had 2 Great Danes before we assumed that this was part
of their breed trait and just lived with their pulling on
leads, running off, chewing things she shouldn't etc. After all their
characters more than make up for this.
I read Great Dane Secrets and The Dog Lovers Guide. My husband
laughed when I said that I was going to try and train Lucy
to sit when she was told, walk to heel and come when
she was called.
Lucy and I went into the study and began our lessons. We
were going to start with the basics, "The Sit". My
husband laughed a little more at the site of me reading
aloud from Great Dane Secrets and following the instructions. To
both our surprised Lucy sat. It must have been luck. I made
her stand up and tried again. Nothing. I realised that I had
missed out the hand movement and as soon as I used it she
sat again. We practiced for a little longer and both Lucy
and I became "sit" perfect.
We worked though the book a little each day, Lucy and I
learning as we went. Eventually our whole family used to
gather for Lucy's lessons. It became a family occasion and
she loved it.
As I write this Lucy is still beautiful, charming, funny,
loyal and loving but now she can sit, walk to heal and
actually comes when she's called. Even better, she no longer
chews the furniture!
4 months ago if you had told me that I could obedience
train a 3 year old Great Dane I would have laughed like my
Husband did. You and Lucy proved us wrong.

|Top Of The Class
We had been taking our new Great Dane to obedience classes
for 2 months without much success. The other dogs and their
owners were doing really well but Sasha is do head strong
and I'm so in experienced that we were still trying to
master the basics. We were bottom of the class. It was both frustrating
We purchased Great Dane Secrets in the hope that you would be
able to help. Help, you transformed our dog. After reading
the chapter on Repetition and Reward the penny dropped and
we began again from the beginning. Her behaviour changed
within 20 minutes and we made more progress after 2, 30
minute sessions than in the whole of the previous 2 months.
We kept Sasha from classes for 3 weeks and taught her to
Sit, stay, come, walk to heel and fetch using your techniques. Then
we went back to class. I was really nervous but Sasha went
through her paces perfectly to a huge cheer from the other
owners and amazement from the trainer.
We have we now passed out of the obedience class with
flying colours and Sasha won the trainers award for being
"The most improved dog".
